  AIRSPACE CLOSURE FOR THE RMAF AERIAL FLYPAST ACTIVITY
AT SULTAN ABDUL AZIZ SHAH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (WMSA)

1  INTRODUCTION.

1.1  The Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) will be conducting Aerial Flypast activity within the Kuala Lumpur TMA at WMSA from 05 - 09 December 2019. The airspace, as defined at Paragraph 2 and depicted at Chart 1, will be closed to civil and non-participating military aircraft during the specified period as listed in paragraph 2.2.

2  CLOSURE OF AIRSPACE WITHIN KUALA LUMPUR TMA AND AIRSPACE RESTRICTIONS

2.1  The lateral and vertical limits of the RMAF Aerial Flypast activity airspace encompasses portions of the Kuala Lumpur TMA, as described below and depicted at Chart 1 to this AIP Supplement.

2.2  WMSA ATS airspace will be closed to all aircraft during the activity period as follows:

2.3  All aircraft movements within the following VFR Route segments will be temporarily suspended throughout the activity period.

  1. VFR Route 1 from Kuala Selangor to Morib;

  2. VFR Route 2 from Serendah to Kajang;

  3. VFR Route 3;

  4. Subang Eastern Access Route; and

  5. Subang Western Access Route.

2.4  Since many flights are expected to arrive at and depart from WMSA proximately before and after the closure of airspace within Kuala Lumpur TMA, airline operators are advised to plan their flights accordingly to avoid delays.

2.5  Airline operators are advised to take into consideration possibilities of airborne delay and to plan for sufficient fuel in the event of holding is required.

2.6  Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA/klia2) remain normal operation during this period.

3  CONCLUSION

3.1  Strict adherence to these procedures is mandatory for the interest of safety.

3.2  Any changes to the above procedures will be published in the form of NOTAM, referring to this AIP Supplement.

3.3  The information published herein for the information and guidance of all concerned.
